Do you own guns you have NEVER fired?

Yes. It is unusual for me not to have gotten out and shot a gun shortly after its first cleaning. But currently, the last two rifles I've purchased for myself have still not been fired.

One is a .270 and it doesn't have a scope yet, and I'm in no hurry to shoot it since it is mainly for my kids.

The other is an AR15 that I have no excuse for. I should have shot it last weekend or the one before. Admittedly, I don't have any 5.56 ammo, only 45gr .223, but that will have to do. I'm committed to shooting that gun this weekend.

I also have a third rifle in .25-06 that is sitting in my living room. I bought it just a few days ago, but it is a gift for my dad. I'd love to shoot it too, but have no ammo and it needs a scope as well.

I have a Ruger P-85 sitting here that I have not shot yet. Reason why is because I was unable to locate ammo ( thanks ammo hoarders ). The gun shops, Wal mart, all of the stores in this area were cleaned out for weeks. I just located several boxes of 9mm luger and plan on shooting it at the range next week.

It's the first gun I have ever owned that I didn't put some rounds through it after a few days of owning it.

I also have an old H & R model 904 - 22 that I just repaired and am anxious to see if the new firing pin spring fixed the problem. It maybe a cheap gun but that old wheel gun is a blast to shoot and very accurate.

I need to get to the range next week and punch some holes in some paper. I am having withdrawals. :)

I have a few collectors guns that have never been fired. They probably never will while in my possesion. Once they are passed on to my kids who knows.

Although it may seem silly I have a pair of Winchester Golden Spike rifles that are NIB and have never been fired. I have been tempted on several occasions to try one of them out but haven't let myself. They are not really worth all that much but are very pretty guns. Should I break down and give one a try or keep them in thier original condition?

I have a kimber 82 and a Remington 40X set up as a prone rifle that I've never fired. Mostly because I'm too cheap to buy glass that will do them justice.

I had to consult the list to make sure i include them all. Some have been fired just not by me, and some have never been fired since leaving the factory.

Had a 6.8 AR that I didn't shoot for a year, finally traded the upper for a 5.56, now it's being shot.

I bought two No 4 Enfields that were new (or at least never issued) when they first came in. One gets fired all the time, the other is still in the rack as it came.

Is this a poll? Yes. The local ranges have been full lately with a line waiting for a lane.
