Where is the option for both at the same time? I carry a Colt NRM Govt. and a Smith 36 as a BUG.

I carry a 65-3 most of the time followed by a SP 101.When i get the funds for a quality holster i'll carry my KP-95dc.

Kahr K40

I carry a custom Kahr K40 daily but I am transitioning to a Bersa Thunder 45. Why? I don't want to lose a $1,000 pistol if it is stolen from my car. Michigan's CCW restricts you from carrying in many places. Regards, Richard :D

I always carry a P32 and if I'm carrying something a little more powerful, it's a 9mm Kahr 90% of the time, a Taurus 38 5% of the time and a 1911 maybe 5% of the time.

I chose other, since there was no "both" option. I carry a fullsize auto, and a j-frame every day. Im saving up for a kahr, and will carry that and a j-frame when dressed in suits and other formal wear. Theres just so many good things to say about both revolvers and autos, that I couldnt decide which one to carry, so I said both.

I usually carry my Taurus 605 SSCH .357 mag. but sometimes feel the need to carry my Beretta Tomcat .32 instead.

Primary carry is now a revolver (SP101 2.25" in a Bladetech IWB). Always goes *bang*---- however, I used to carry a G17 or a Springfield 1911-A1 Loaded.

I'm torn between the two. I generally shoot a revolver better than an auto, but for leo work the faster reloads and ammunition capacity of the auto tend to over rule the use of the wheelie most of the time. However, when the situation permits I usually opt for the wheelgun.

Most often a Taurus 85TT or Smith 66 snubby.I carry autos too,but revolvers most.:)

I carry autos for the slim profile. For the home I have revolvers and a shotgun.

For concealed carry I have a Kahr MK40 for pocket carry and a Para Ord 12-45 LDA for IWB.

For home is 44 mag for anything up to Bear, which is a possibility in my area. Also 12 ga with OO Buck for anything that goes bump in the night.

FWIW, Today I was shooting my Sp101 3†and after 100 rounds of .38 & .357 no jams or misfires. My friend was shooting 2 of his Hi-Point 9mm’s and out of the 150 rounds he and I shot with it we had 5 jams.
A Hi-Point, huh...

I have a safe full of centerfire autopistols made anywhere from the 40's to a couple of years ago. In 15 years of shooting I've probably had a TOTAL of 5 jams in all of them put together. Most of them ammo related.

Many people believe that revolvers are more reliable than autopistols. That may be. But this "test" isn't really giving you an accurate picture of a decent autoloader's reliability.

Depends on the day and how I feel.
Lately it's been a .45 Colt because of the Condition Orange. Normally it's a Colt or S&W snubby.:)

No "test" here John just an observation after a fun day of shooting with a friend. It's not the first time I've seen autoloaders jam. I just won't take the chance with one when I'm CCW'ing. I'll stick with Revs.

END

I have seen plenty of cheap pot metal revolvers in the highpoints class fail too. I have also seen high quality revolvers fail. All guns will malfunction if you own and shoot them long enough. Good quality autos and revolvers have about the same rate of reliability.
