Kinda -

My first FIRE arm, no - Stevens Favorite stolen out of my brother's truck.
My first BB gun, yes - a Daisy pump. At least my brother redeemed himself by saving the Daisy from Pop's garage.
The Daisy has to be at least 50 yrs old.

First Firearm

Shure do. It was my Grandmothers (pea rifle) and she gave it to my Dad and he passed it on to me. It's a Winchester Model 67, single shot 22 and I have fully restored it. It shoots low velocity ammo well enough and its my pride and joy. Oh yeah, I'm 68.

Sitting in my friends gun cabinet. I sold it to him 25 years ago, and he has held on to it. We both know it will be in my hands again someday!
 
Yes I do. Its an old H&R 922 9 shot .22 revolver, octagon barrel my Pop gave me when I was about 14 years old. I haven't a clue how he came by it, but it was around for as long as I can remember. The revolver had a broken hammer spring, he was just going to dump it into the trash barrel out back of the house, course, I salvaged it, and ask him if he'd have the spring fixed for me. Pop had a friendly gunsmith repair it, and its now in the safe. Boy, I've shot the tar out of that ol' beast, but its resting in the safe now, I've got better ones to shoot now.
 
Yep, Winchester Mod 290.Almost 40 years ago.Pop did good,after mom chewed his butt."Get up there and buy that gun for that boy"she said,on Christmas Eve,less than one hour before the Ace Hardware closed.If my memory serves me right it was on sale for $64.00.2nd Best Christmas Gift I ever got.Best was my daughter,Dec. 7 1988.
 
Mine is a Remington 514 .22 single shot bolt action.
It came with a custom target stock that was accompanied by a history stating that the stock was made from a floorboard out a 150 year old barn that was knocked down in Ohio in the 1960s.
I got it in about 1972. I was about 10 years old.
Still have the gun. Lost the card that told the story about the stock.
It isn't quite as pretty as it once was. I found that the blueing got some rust from being stored in a closet all these years. Not REAL bad, but still leaves me wishing I knew a reputable re-bluing shop.
Oh, it has a extractor catch/spring problem. Not real reliable in that area.
 
Yep, an old Marlin Glennfeild 22 single shot 36 years ago. Got it for christmas when I was 10 years old with a brick of rimington 22 shorts, I was excited it was a squirrel killin machine. It was a used gun my dad refinished and the best gift I have ever got before or since. I will never part with it.
 
Nope--But I wish I did because it was my Father's who is now deceased (S&W Model 10, 4 inch Heavy Barrel, 6 shot, .38 Special Cal. Revolver). It was the first weapon I ever fired (followed that very same first shooting session when I was ten years old with a few hundred rounds of .22LR via a Ruger 10-22 of which I still do have).

My first firearm was modesty itself, an British made air gun. Unfortunately it got stollen and it was never recovered. My second weapon, an air gun again, was sold. And yes, finally I settled for an Anschutz .22LR rimfire and I still have that one.
 
First BB gun was a Powerline 880, first gun was an AK-74, and I still have both.


I've never sold a gun.
 
Yep, bought it in June of 1970, right after coming back from RVN - from a friend for 10 bucks...they're kind of rare now...Wamo Powermaster .22lr single shot - damn accurate. Since then I've owned over 600 firearms of all types and persuasions and a couple hundred have left the corral, but the Wamo remains - both my daughters learned the first steps to handgun safety and shooting with it and every couple of years I haul it out for a trip to the range. Grandson will shoot it in a couple years, probably will go to him at some point, if he's interested. Nostalgia...sigh!:)

Winchester 67

Got it for Christmas in 1956. Added a military style leather sling a few years later. Traded it once in the 1970's for a pump action 22. Bought it back for $25.

Got the first real gun I was given by my dad, Remington .22 bolt rifle about 1952, and the first gun I actually bought, a Swiss Vetterli .41 RF way back in 1962. Interesting note: I was 15 at the time and purchased it from a pawn shop along with one box of Italian ammo, total package was $18. Nobody thought anything about it. Times do change, don't they.

Savage model 72 "Crackshot" .22 s, l, lr single shot. Dad got it for me in 1970-something. Octogon barrel, falling block, exposed hammer.Taught my 2 kids with it. I hope to be teaching grandchildren with it too. Also have my Grandad's bolt-action Winchester single-shot .

The Savage shoots 4 inches left at 15 yards though. They'll need to learn Kentucky windage.

Yes, but not sure that it stacks up to everyone's since it's only been about 12 years. A Remington 22 LR model 597 that I originally bought to try to rid myself of a woodchuck problem. I now realize that it was most likely underpowered for the job, but I never could catch the bugger out in the open (it was digging holes under my garage which has since caused my floor to crack and partially sink.) My dad ended up taking it and one of it's buddies out with his scoped 357. Since then I've added a Rem 30-06 and an 1187 12 gauge shotgun.
 
I do, a Remington model 33. I found it in a brush pile when i was 8 years old. Iit had been there for years. No idea where it came from or how it got there but it's mine now.
 
Glenfield M-60, 17 round tube magazine, bought with money earned from mowing the cemetary, dad filled out the 4473, I handed the clerk the green and dad carried the gun to the car...............28 years ago this summer.

Its one of only two guns that I will NEVER part with for any amount of money
 
Yes, my fathers "Remington targetmaster .22lr bolt action, rusty barrell, chipped wood stock,sits in front of flag they handed me off of his casket.No amount of money (not that its worth anything) would make me part with it !
Maybe someday it will get "refreshed" and handed down to my sons,
