I just gave my first rifle to my daughter so she can start her family off right. A Marlin semi 22lr. Had it for 47 years and still shoots great!:)

Nope,,, I gave it to my little brother when I went into the USAF,,,

Nope,,,
I gave it to my little brother when I went into the USAF.

It was an 189? Winchester pump action chambered for .22 Short,,,
I bought it at a farm auction for $5.00 in the early 60's,,,
The magazine rod was gone so it was single-shot,,,
Man that was one accurate rifle.

It's gone now,,,
I think he traded it for a bag of weed. :banghead:

No. Marlin single shot 22 youth. I had it until two months ago. Now my youngest son has it.

I still have every gun that I have ever owned. This even includes some old fairly rusted single shot shotguns that have broken stocks/forearms. My take on this subject is that every gun is still a gun and can be used; maybe some after a little work. With a few exceptions, my guns likely cannot be sold or bartered for more than I bought them for especially when inflation is considered. It doesn't cost me anything to own them and unless one has hundreds of guns, storage is easy. I guess if I were starving or about to lose my home, I could see this stance being reconsidered.

Nope.

And thank you for bringing up such a painful subject. While you're at it, why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice on it.

;)

Yes I do. Benjamin 5MM pellet rifle. Have had to put seals in it a few times but it still shoots great.

I do.
Its a single shot Winchester M37 Steelbilt in 16-gauge. I'm the 3rd Paul in the family to have it.
Hopefully there will be another somewhere down the line I can pass it to.

Sure do ... a Marlin 81DL that was a Christmas present from my Dad whan I was 10 years old. I also still shoot it and remember him fondly every time I do.

I still have my first rifle (Rem 514), first shotgun (Rem 870) and first handgun (Colt .22 Diamondback). I also still have my Dad's old .22 Stevens Favorite and Montgomery Ward single-shot 20 ga.

When my wife and I first got into shooting, we bought three. A Glock 22 for me, S&W M&P in .40 S&W for her, and a S&W 686+ for us :) Still have all three…still have our first rifle and shotgun too.

Hey, I'm in the same boat. I totally regret selling my first gun.:banghead:

Yes, it's a Savage-Stevens SS 410 My dad and uncles were big into rabbit hunting, we always had beagles when I was growing up, and the little shotgun was my first hunting gun, I killed a rabbit with it the first time I ever fired it. I use it every year now to bring down a bit of mistletoe for Christmas decorating. It's kind of hard to believe I've had the thing for 41 years!

Yes, a Stevens model 34 bolt-action .22RF. Got it for my 12th birthday in 1968. Still absolutely love to sit at a bench, on a lazy hot summer day, and shoot for accuracy at 100 yards, for practically nothing.;) 46 years now.

Yes,,,,,,,

a H&R Topper, .410 single shot hammer gun was given to me for my 10th Christmas. I've had it over 50 years.(We were shooting paper shells back then)

One of my highly cherished possessions to this day.

First pistol, a Ruger Security Six (1976). Had to sell the first rifle, a Ruger 10-22 some years ago. Since replaced and set up the way the old one was.

YES!

I still have the Remington 870 wingmaster in 16 ga I got for my 14th birthday and the Ruger P89 I bought myself from a pawn shop.

I've sold and traded guns since, but someone early on told me that you should never part with your first gun no matter what. Good advice I'd say.

Sadly, as you say, I do not.

My first rifle was stolen many years ago, and though I have my suspicions as to who was responsible, there is no proof and I have no desire to ever speak to, let alone see, that person ever again.

However, I recently purchased another one just like it from Gunbroker...a Marlin 783 bolt action, tube magazine, .22 Magnum.

Feels good to have it in my hands!

Yep, German SIG P229 9mm. Don't have my second or third gun though, but every one after that.
