Does anybody here have any firearms they've never shot?

Dozens, though most are handguns.

All of them are/were intended to be shooters but, for a long while, I was acquiring them too frequently for range time to keep up. Several have been waiting for years, especially ones that aren't considered for defensive or training purposes. Among my unshot rifles are my only AR (2014), my only AK-type (2015), and my only SKS (2017.) I've never been as much as a rifle shooter as a handgunner.

Yes, I have a few. I don't shoot very often any more, and these guns always seem to take a back seat when I do go shooting.

I only buy guns that I've been interested in for a while. I don't impulse buy often and learned not to buy a gun just because it's cheap. So by the time I get my hands on a gun, I've already been eager to shoot it for at least a couple months. None of them stay unfired for long after that.

I could see it if the gun was a true valuable collectable. I probably won't shoot my Mosin again. Simply because it licks hard and isn't accurate.

Yes. Now, most of my guns I plan on shooting, when I get around to them; for now, they are "de-facto" safe queens. That means I do have guns I've never yet shot (the operative word is "yet"). I tell people that shooting most of my guns is on my bucket list (I have a few). There are various reasons I haven't shot them yet, but who cares. Then again, there are a couple I may never shoot for various personal reasons.

I have a few and they are unfired due to lack of time, pushed back in priority, and a myriad of other minor reasons, none of which are intent to not fire them. If they are not shooters I don't want them. Life is too short for safe queens!!

Not currently. However, i had one for over 50 years, sold it a couple years ago. Gun is a Schultz and Larsen model 54J in .378 Weatherby. Weatherby sold that rifle before their Mark 5 hit the market. Gun came in a trade with a Weatherby dealer who was a Winchester collector. Traded a Winchester 1873 one of one thousand gun for a couple Weatherby rifles.

Gun was light, < nine pounds with a rollover cheekpiece. Firing that rifle would have hurt a lefty.

Somehow i ended up with several African game caliber guns that drew dust for decades. They are gone now.

I have one rifle and one revolver I haven't shot, but thats not on purpose. I bought the rifle last year and just haven't gotten out to shoot it, hopefully that will change soon. The revolver was given to me by and similar story, haven't gotten a chance to shoot it.

Another limiting factor is I have less than 50 rounds of ammo for both, so I'm not in a huge hurry to deplete their ammo supply. I don't shoot 38 special or 243 often, so hadn't really had a reason to stock up on those 2 before the Great Panic.

Yes I have two one is a Winchester Big Game 30-30 that Winchester put out in 19777-78, and the other is a recently purchased Carcano Cavalry 6.5X52mm that I can't seem to get ammo as well as reloading dies for.

Picked up an unfired Russian SKS in early 1995. Was arsenal rebuilt but never re-issued. Friend of a friend of mine with an FFL bought a couple crates of them and sold me one of the laminated stock models. Already had a Norinco SKS I picked up in 1992 so the Russian one got put into the back of the safe for "someday". Got involved in other projects and only shot the Norinco rarely and got to thinking about keeping the Russian in unfired condition. So here we are in 2021 and it's still in the safe unfired and gets a semi-annual wipe down & check. Now that I'm retired I ought to think about selling it because I'm thinning things out and gun prices are up now. Here's a Shotgun News advertisement from back then showing dealer prices on the Russian SKS's that were coming in. I think dealers got them for even less if they bought them by the crate, ( 10 to a crate IIRC ).. IMG_1726.JPG ... IMG_4946.JPG ..Think I shelled out about 220-225 bucks for this one versus the one hundred dollar Norinco in 1992.

Yes, Bought a Pietta, Reb Nord Navy .44 cal revolver a couple years ago. Cabelas were blowing them out for 150 bucks. I have other BP pistols and Supply's to shoot it. No Excuse... hdbiker

A friend of mine recently picked up a WASR-10 that's never been fired. The dude he bought it from picked it up at a gun show back in the 90s and it sat in the original box until said friend got it. It still smells like cosmoline and, after inspecting it, there's no sign of fouling or carbon literally anywhere in the rifle.

Now he's telling me he's scared to shoot it!

I can see hanging onto one for the sake of having an "unfired" weapon, but does anyone else do this? I've never been in this situation but I'm just curious if you guys think my buddy is an idiot for not using his new weapon or if he's a true collector for hanging onto it.
I’ve shot every weapon I’ve ever owned and many that I’ve never owned. Guns are made to shoot...

I’ve got several I’ve never shot. Some I bought new and they’ve never been fired and some I bought used and they were fired by the prior owner but not by me.
Some are duplicates, I’ve shot others just like them. Others I just never got around to shooting for various reasons.
I don’t need to shoot them to enjoy them.
I don’t go to the range much but when I do I usually take the same 6 or 8 guns.

I have a few I haven't fired, I don't have any I am not willing to fire. Like many, it has been an available time thing. combined with a few other factors, they have made it more difficult here to shoot out on govt land, you gotta go a mile in after you get over the cattle guard, carry 5gallons of water a shovel, a fire extinguisher, a buddy, etc. The UTVs and Bikers are running around like flies out there, hey I did too, not complaining, but it makes it less safe to shoot. The wildfire hazard when we have a dry year, etc.

That leaves me with an hour drive to the county range, which is cool and has steel targets out to 1000 yards so that's nice. If I am going to go to the range, I want to take the rifles I like to shoot at distance, not so much the pistols, and, with covid, I just don't get to go as often as I would like.

All excuses I know, but, Lord willing, I will go shoot any I have not yet been able to this year. if I get my sons little pre-runner ranger done, I wont be worried about scratching my new truck up and we can run out further to get away from the dirt riders.

Winchester 9422 High Grade.
Fancy wood, coon & hound receiver. It was unfired when I bought it about 25 years and I bought it intending to hunt small game with it, but its just too pretty.
It comes out of the safe twice a year for a light oiling and than back it goes.
I really should sell it and buy something I can use without worrying about it.
But I'm sure I'll end up kicking myself if I do.

I’ve got to research and see what cartridge it is! It’s just been in the vault for years! memtb
If it has an "S" on the barrel just forward of the receiver its in 8x56r and you are in luck as ammo is available but pricey. If not its likely early 8x50r which may may it more valuable but original ammo was out of sight even before fauxvid.
