Have you ever known someone that you agree with wholeheartedly on most things, then suddenly find out that you disagree with him vehemently about something else?
I'm talking of course about Bob Owens and his daily (I suppose you'd call "Bearing Arms" a "Blog"? ) Here's a young fellow who I think has basically the right idea, and is apparently making a living by championing law-abiding citizens right to "keep and "bear arms"; I have been reading "Bearing Arms" almost daily now for a couple of years; I tend to be a very observant person; I have noticed many things about Bob Owens' writing style....mainly that he REALLY needs a good "proof reader", as he makes an awful lot of typos, and frequently gets his articles rather "mixed up"; for anyone unfamiliar with Bob Owens, he's a graduate of at least one course at Gunsite, so I'm sure he must know how to shoot.
Now, not an hour ago, while I was looking through all of my usual websites on Yahoo, I noticed the title of Bob Owens daily article on "Bearing Arms" today is:
"WRONG GUN: Why The Most Popular Gun For Law Enforcement Is A Mistake"

The moment I saw the title, I KNEW that Bob Owens had just authored an article about Glock pistols not being "right" for law enforcement! If you use the link and read his article, you'll see that I was "spot on"! I have heard Bob Owens talking about Glocks before; (how "great they are"......(for "some" people, but just not for cops and other LEO's. ) Owens takes issue with Glocks lack of an external safety, and for their having a "too short" trigger pull! (Two of the primary reasons that about 10 million Glocks have been sold worldwide in just over 30 years, IMO )
If you take the trouble to read Bob Owens ridiculous article, I hope you'll do the same thing I'll be doing the minute that I get this posted; I'm going to contact Bob Owens and tell him exactly why I think HE's "seriously mis-guided" and should probably start writing a blog about "the mating habits of fruit flies in Ethiopia" or something else that he "knows something about"!
BTW......as I'm sure most people on THR already know, Glocks ARE used by a very large % of law enforcement, and you'll probably also know that a very high % of "accidental discharges" have occurred with Glock pistols; unless you just happen to be a huge Glock hater, I'm guessing that you'll also realize that ALL of these AD's with Glocks happened because poorly trained people violated one of the basic rules and had his / her finger on the trigger when he/she wasn't "on target" or "ready to shoot", which fact, IMO, is the fault of the individual, and NOT the weapon; (I'm further guessing that anyone violating basic rules can accidentally shoot themselves with a 1911 or any other hand gun for that matter. )
