My last choice is to buy on the internet. I am willing to pay for the customer service.
What do you do when you have paid for customer service, as the OP has, but the store still won't provide it?

I shop elsewhere.

Waldon it looks like you've run into the issue facing everyone in ALL business and that is lack of customer service...that's too bad in your case as you have a track record with the store.

I too have encountered the same thing. I finally found the "perfect" gun store. It was about 45 minutes away, great price, great service. I bought several guns and accessories and have sent numerous people down to him that have bought guns from him. Real long story short, he has raised price on ammo - ie - Remington 40 S&W 50 rounds JHP are $60. Wolf 22lr is $90 per 500. 380 ammo he went from $18/50 to $30 per $50. His service is gone, and he treats everyone like I got what you want so take it or leave it. Now I might add in all of my purchases I have never haggled - I always paid his asking preice (the guy almost always would give me a "discount" for not haggling). Anyway, now that he has gone down hill, I may as well just buy at Wal-Mart or my local Scheels (used to hate them). For guns I have found Bud's has been great to deal with. I found a pawn shop that charges $10 for a transfer. So, I guess I won't be shopping local much anymore :(

Ammo? I bought some S&W500 ammo from Bobs store the same day I bought my pistol from them otherwise I buy from Walmart or the internet {currently waiting for 1k rounds of 45acp from Cabela's, backordered}.
After seeing the same box of Federal 308 ammo for $25 at Bob's store and
$15 at Walmart I had to go with Walmart.
Its a real shame for Bob as they missed the chance to sell me some magazines for the rifle, drums for the Thompson, and mags, slings etc for my new Uzi............

Update: Today I called the store to find out if my new carbine had arrived. Yep, it had three days ago!!!! I kept my cool until I finished all of the paper work and then asked them why they didn't call me..........."well, we've been covered up all of those days".
How much time would it have taken at either the start or end of the day to call, and let me know? :fire:
Not trying to beat a dead horse, but this is it, no more soup for them!!! {quote from the "Soup Nazi" episode of Seinfeld}
thanks for reading.........Buddy

I've been complaining about gun store customer service for many years now.

Moved on to the best internet gun stores and I have not looked back since!

:)
