Does anyone know how to get their Lock n Load AP to stop doing this?

The primer feed cam wire keeps coming out of the lower socket. I'm not sure how its supposed to stay in there in the first place. The socket is spring loaded, but the bottom of the cam wire is rounded and its constantly slipping out for me.

Does anyone know how to keep the wire in place?

You might check the black plastic bracket at the top of the cam wire for proper tightness. It could simply be loose.

Cam wire bracket is on nice and tight. The primer system is working smoothly, there are no hangups or anything. The normal amount of force is causing the wire to breakaway constantly.

Make sure the primer slide is as smooth as silk on it's slide, and make sure the wheel turns freely. Graphite is your friend.

The plastic top bracket may be cracked or angled upwards. I have had to replace mine several times, Hornady will send them free of charge. If it is just angled up from use and you don't have a spare, you can insert a spent primer or two as spacers to keep down pressure on the guide rod. It will get you by until you get a replacement.

Mine did the same thing, turned out to be a hairline crack that was causing the plastic piece to flex. Called CS and a new one was one the way

Yep. I had the black plastic bracket that had a slight upwards angle to it. Couldn't get the wire to stay. Called Hornady and they sent out new parts. Problem fixed.

Mine does this once or twice per 300rd session, not a big deal, but i will look for a crack

Hey, all. I had the same symptom with a different cause. The mounting screw for that black plastic thing goes through an oblong hole. That allows for adjustment (in and out) of the top of the rod. Mine was misadjusted, so that the wheel was kind of sideways/crooked on the rod. Made it pop out. Adjusting this to perfection also eliminated random missed primers.

The press is designed to do this to prevent it wrecking itself in the event something is amiss. That said it really doesn't tell you what is wrong. Among the things that I know it could be are: (and some have already been mentioned here)

Bent or cracked AP bracket. (the black plastic piece)

Mis-alignment of the AP bracket.

Bent or crooked Breakaway Cam Wire.

Dirt or crud in the Breakaway Cam Wire Plunger.

Rough or dirty Primer Slide and or the Sub-plate pathway for the primer slide. I polished mine with a Dremel and metal polish after some very fine sanding.
You want it as smooth as a baby's ass. As drainsmith mentioned graphite is very helpful.

Concerning the wheel on the Primer Slide. The stud it rolls on is glued into the Slide/Shuttle. If it comes loose and works it's way out even slightly it mis-aligns the wheel onto the Cam Wire and causes it to pop out.

That's all I can think of right now but if something else happens to pass by my working brains cells I'll post it.

I experienced the same thing, I cracked both of the brackets that came with my press. Hornady sent replacements right away and I noted they are heftier than the two that came with my press. Working great now. I also recognized that the originals cracked for a reason- as others have stated ensure your primer sled and its channel is a smooth as possible as when it gets jacked up it causes stress on the cam wire and pops the wire out at the bottom/cracks the plastic bracket.
The 76Highboy videos are a great source of information on these AP presses.
