As far as storing firearms. What are the legalities of these situations?
1. Hunter lives and maintains primary residence in State A but also owns a cabin and land in State B. ....Hunter leaves a couple of rifles in a safe in the cabin in State B when Hunter goes back home to State A.
Legal or not?
2. Mr and Mrs Smith live and maintains primary residence in State C. But they also own a condo near the beach in State D. Mr Smith leaves his pistol with Mrs Smith for protection in State D when Mr.Smith has to go back to State C for some personal business.
Legal or Not?
3. Or Mr. and Mrs. Smith leave a pistol in their wall safe in State D when they go back home to State C.
Legal or Not?
I didn't mean to muddy the waters here, just curious how would cases like these apply? It would not be far fetched if someone decided to leave some firearms in another state on property where they hunt several times a year.
