Does Walmart still sell Firearms?

Locally, my Wally World is out of the firearms business. Plus the fact, if you
purchase handgun ammunition a manager has too escort you to the nearest
register, and out the door~!

That, plus their concealed carry policy is why I NEVER patronize their business~! ;) :D
Walmart corporate policy is to abide by all state and local laws. In other words, if you are legally allowed to carry it, Walmart will allow you to carry it in the store.

Any store NOT abiding by those rules is going rogue against corporate policy, and a complaint to the district manager should put a fast and harsh end to it. Walmart does not permit store managers to circumvent this...trust me, we've got first hand experience with it here in Minneapolis.

That is good to know...I might be startin' to like WW...well at least a little (I'll continue support my local gun shops though).

:)

Most of the Wal-Marts I have been to sell guns and at the Wal-mart here in town, where my wife works and gets a 10% discount on just about everything, they will order guns for you from a large catalog. Next time I am in there I am going to look at the catalog and see what guns they can order.

One thing that those who chose to carry concealed need to do is make sure they have a proper holster, our local Wal-Mart had to shut down and have everyone leave when a gentleman came to the customer service counter and explained that he had lost his gun somewhere in the store...:what::what::banghead: So everyone left and the store was searched.... no gun was found, later someone turned in a gun they had found in the Wal-Mart parking lot, guess who's gun it was :cuss: that makes all of us who carry concealed look like idiots. This didn't happen recently, it happened before my wife started working at Wal-Mart, she has worked there for two years and they still talk about it.

I am not saying because you accidentally flash your gun while reaching for something or have your pants drop to the floor loudly while in the bathroom that you shouldnt carry, but to flat out lose your gun and not realize it till later is just plain asinine... When things like someone losing their gun happens, you can understand why some large corporations chose to ban people from carrying guns.... imagine what would have happened if some kid had found the gun and not realizing it was real pointed it at someone and pulled the trigger....:(
Dont mean to take the thread in a different direction, but thought it was worth pointing out...

Now back to your original thread

Walking customers to the register is customary at my local Walmart and has been for some 15 years or so. Here, at least, no such silliness is required for the purchase of ammunition (handgun or otherwise).
