Doesn't anyone have a sporting shotgun any more?

There's no hard-and-fast rule, especially if you have physical problems from injuries, etc.

However, in general, for the healthy population, yes, a straight, Prince-of-Wales, or conventional pistol grip DOES carry more comfortably, shoulder faster and more consistently, point and swing better for bird hunting than an AR-15 style pistol grip and stock.

I just got my new SxS today. I only have 2 shotguns. One Iver Johnson 16ga. that my grandfather bought in 1929 and my new to me Fausti SxS 12ga.

BTW the yeallowish stuff on the 16ga is paint. My father painted it yellow back in the 60s so no one could steal it. :scrutiny: He must have been high.

These are my "tactical" shotguns, I've removed the magazine plugs from both Franchi semi-autos, and smoothed the bolt throw on the Mossberg. Pay no attn to the rifle at the bottom. 100_1286.jpg
