don't try this at home!

so i was cleaning my guns the other day with some spray rem oil when i decided to oil up my paper shredder. i sprayed from the top and opened the bin and sprayed the shredder from in there. then like any intelligent person i ran a piece of paper through it to spread the oil evenly around the cutter. needless to say the shredder exploded into about 100 pieces knocking me on my can. i could not believe the explosion and everyone in my house came running into my room thinking i had a ND while cleaning my guns. so anyway this probably doesn't need to be said but don't try that at home, do it at a friends house because clean-up is a pain.

Look on the can of spray. I think that you will find that the propellant is butane. That will explode if there is a spark nearby (inside the machine). I do wonder if that could be used for a potato cannon like those other aerosols that are used? Might have the added benefit of a built in Teflon lube for the tater.

Lubricate your paper shedder with vegetable oil, per instructions.
