I recently installed the above mount on my rifle.
when installing I did not have a torque screwdriver, etc to check the torque so after carefully snugging up each bolt in a criss cross manner then tightening really tight (almost as tight as I could with flat tip screwdriver) and checking the bolt action, didn't seem to bind, etc.
I then backed out each bolt/screw put a little red thread lock on them and retightened to about as tight as I could screw them in.
I have fired 15-20 rounds through the rifle and the bolt retraction and case ejection works fine.
My concern/question ... the directions suggest 36-40 inch lbs of torque to each of these screws/bolts on the extreme scope mount ...
I've since borrowed a friend's torque screwdriver and I know 1 bolt/screw did turn very slightly... however all others didn't move when I approached the 36-40 inch lbs setting on the wrench.
I'm thinking the action seems to work well as I have done it ... but for safety's sake is there a need to take each bolt out and re-do with the torque wrench ?
I mean I didn't really torque it down on these... just got them good and tight when I did it manually on initial assembly.
Y'all think I'm good with what I have ?
