I just went over to the DU to browse and found this posted in the "Gun Dungeon".
I guess they decided the 2nd amendment wasn't as much fun to debate as election results, real or imagined. If the issue is "too divisive" then they are seeing it as a serious threat to party unity in the upcoming election and the less said about it in public the better, I guess.
The fact is there have been a lot more pro 2nd folks over there lately and they were starting to outnumber the gun grabbers three or four to one, even with them quickly dropping new pro-RKBA sign-ons as "disruptors".

"After discussions between moderators and admin the conclusion was reached that this issue of guns in Justice and Public Safety is too divisive for this forum. As you ponder this decision please consider that nearly all potential arguments have been made and answered multiple times.
Therefore, from the time of this post forward, on the 1st day of the 2nd quarter of the Calendar Year 2004, posts of gun discussion are banned in J/PS.
Post of such will be removed, Pro Gun Control or RKBA. Reference to the Gun Dungeon or the Gungeon will be removed. More than 5 such violations by any one member will result in permanent banning."
If it is real, and not a 4/1 gag, then we should all quietly place our hands over our full capacity magazines and shed a tear for the loss of Mr. Benchley and his gun grabbing ilk.
They are locking all gun related threads right now, including one on Spud Guns!
