I didn't know they made the Stoeger Uplander Special. $300 isn't a bad price if you really need a gun with MOD & FULL chokes. I don't have time to search on Stoeger prices to compare. John
Stoeger uplander special
Article Abstract:
Stoeger is one of America's oldest names in high-value firearms. The Uplander Special, part of the Stoeger Uplander line of side-by-side shotguns made by E.R. Amantino of Brazil, combines rugged, no-frills features, including double triggers and non-selective extractors.

I recently purchased a new Stoeger 12ga coach gun which is basically the same gun ...did a couple of simple straight forward mods to it that I learned about here and on some CASS sites...So far I have about 500 to 600 hic-cup free rounds thru it and I really like it a lot...I know some guys hate em' and some guys love em'...I think for the money and a little time put into them they're a pretty decent double...I have the dual triggers...I have heard the single trigger might give you some problems...
Thanks y'all ... he was asking $300 for it and from the photos the blue looked a little thin in a couple places so I asked him if he could take a little less and he said 'NO' so I passed ... if the barrels had been shorter I would have probably paid him the three bills but I really don't need another 20 gauge for the field ... thanks again for the advice and input ...
