EDC lineup

With less to do lately I got the change to dial in my EDC lineup and found some solid pieces while also dumping stuff I really don’t use. Better gear by far but much less than I used to use. I’m posting this list here and on a few other forums I’m on to see if other found they like the same or if other have their favorites for the year-


Here is my list-


Gun = Glock19 gen5

Flashlight- only carry the one on my phone (I have about 8 Streamlight Stingers throughout my house and in my vehicle)

Watch- also on my phone

Phone case- Otterbox of some sort

Wallet- who knows

Holster = Galco King Tuk (can't remember what pocket holster i have for the G42)

Gun Belt = 5.11 tactical trainer

Phone Case = No idea

Flashlight = None

Knife = CRKT

Watch = Black G-Shock

Wallet = Some brown thing I found at Sportsmans Warehouse.

Not a fan of Streamlight? I've had good luck with them as long as they stay out of the coolant drain pans.

I've had a lot of them too, they're great when they work but every on I've ever had the switch goes bad and then they're dim and bright depending on how you whack them against something. The sing AAA sized rechargeable I use for edc now is no different. Gone through 5 rechargeable led stingers at work in about 6 years , it's always the switch and I just keep buying them. In their defense they do get very hard use. Yeah drain pans, ECT. I had one that I dropped into a full fuel tank and it didn't bother it but sooner or later those switches just never last.

I've had 3 Streamlights and all went exactly like that.

To be fair, one of them went through the laundry and dryer... twice, before it started having issues.

Belt: RDR ... Cobra? I misremember.
Phone case: Whatever the shop had when I got my phone, no clue.
Flashlight: Started using my phone when I kept breaking pocket lights, have a number in the house and all the vehicles.
Knife: Kershaw something CKRT perhaps, need to fix my Spiderco's clip.
Watch: none at the moment, broke the strap on my cheap Cassio (after almost 10 years) and my Citizen went on the fritz for no reason, need to get it fixed. A little birdie tells me Santa is bringing me a new cheap watch.
Wallet: Some leather Target special my wife bought me 12 years ago, still does its thing fine.

Phone Case = Lifeproof/Otterbox knockoff. Big names don't fit my semi-obscure phone
Flashlight = Fenix LD30
Knife = Walther BTK 2. Not a bad knife for $20, goes with the handgun.
Watch = Wish smart watch. Similar to Samsung Gear 3
Wallet = Buxton leather bifold.

Unfortunately, THR is not r/EDC. We can talk handguns here. We can talk holsters and belts to hold handguns in our holsters and related gear section. We can talk knives in non-firearm weapons here. Lights are also acceptable in the holsters and related gear section, because lights are useful for identifying targets or otherwise helping us to safely use our guns. But, watches, phones, phone cases, and wallets have nothing to do with THR's narrow 2A focus. Thanks for your understanding.
