I found an Ex-Sniper Mosin Nagant and bought it today for $149 with shipping and FFL transfer it will end up being $190. How did I do?

Description:
This is a round receiver Russian Mosin-Nagant 91/30 bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62x54R. Manufactured in the Izhevsk arsenal and dated 1943, this rifle is an arsenal refinished ex-sniper with PU scope mount holes that were filled back in. It has the scope serial numbers stamped on the left side of the barrel, and it has an excellent condition bore. Has all matching stamped numbers except for the magazine floor plate which has been crossed out and then restamped to match.

I'd say you did well. Are you going to try to restore it with a scope? We'll need some pictures of the new rifle, of course.

hows the condition of the rifle? I'd say you did alright if it was in decent shape for a soviet. they are all beat up.

My local FFL sells them for $99 (I bought one last year.) Not that $149 is bad, either.

I got my Tula 1936 hex receiver ex-sniper from J&G about two years ago for around $100. It had a PE scope mount on it at one point but all the holes have been filled in as well.

You didn't do too bad if its in good condition and if it makes you happy then cost irrelevant.

We'll I snatched it up because I've had problems finding them and +- $50. Big deal really! I should have it within a few days. Thanks all for the feedback.
