Extinction of the AR-15 A2 variant?

I will be shooting mine in a match tomorrow. As long as we have gun games with archaic rules, we will have a need for obsolete weapon configurations.

I have to say, I don't currently own any with carry handles, but some of these pics almost make me want one!

I may not have a current need for that configuration, but it does work & looks good.

I own a Colt AR 15 with the 20 inch HBAR barrel, A2 stock and carry handle upper. This was my first AR15 and I will have it until I die. I still shoot it on occasion just to remember how far the AR15 platform has evolved. It will always have a place in my safe, I believe more of the new generation of AR fans should be exposed to the first generation of the AR15 in its original concept. It is so easy to forget just where it all started.
