They claim that one of their 9mm rounds can kill a 500 lbs boar with one shot. They also claim that their .30 cal rifles rounds are capable of making big game kills at 1000 yards. It better at the prices they are charging!

These have been discussed before, here and elsewhere. I've seen too much negative feedback to trust my life to them.

I am not familiar with Extreme Shock, but we have a guy in Austin who hunts hogs with a 9mm RBCD. As far as 1000 yd shots, I would assume that a .300 Win Mag or .300 Wea. Mag on a whitetail would be fatal, IF YOU CAN MAKE A 1000 YD SHOT, so no big deal.

There are no magic bullets. Repeat three times: Shot placement, shot placement, shot placement.

People should brag about how close their shot was, thus bragging about their stalking skills. People who shoot game at 500 yards are duffers. Way too many variables even for the best marksman to make that acceptable in all but a survival situation or in the case of wounded game.

This is the newest version of Mullins's ammo...
"Rotational cone of metalic particulants... density mass... blah blah blah."
Mullins should no better. There is no little tornado of metal particles inside the target body.

Wait, let me back up... that was Mullins old line. His old gimick.

But his bullet idea is actually sound. It's a bullet made from compressed powdered metal. Like an asprin tablet. When it hits something hard it breaks up. Something hard like a curb or a something that might cause the bullet to deflect and go some place it isn't supposed to go. His original video has all kinds of BS on it... but the most interesting was the MP5 gling full auto while the guy walked up to the steel plate to within inches. If you have ever fired on steel you know the "Splash" can by extremely dangerous.

Other guys are making these kinds of bullets now too... Sinterfire and CQB are popular ones... from Triton and Corbon I think. No, CQB is triton's load WITH what they call the Sinterfire bullet. I think Corbon has one too... I was going to. It's great for indoor ranges. Is it good for defense?
I don't think so. What does one of the grain particles weigh in grains? What is the penetration of one of those little light particles?

Feh. It's all about marketing. Like was said before... there are no magic bullets.

:barf: What a bunch of media hype. Just my .02 worth, but any .308 & up can kill at 1,000 yards with FMJ or just about any other commercial/military round, as said earlier, Shot placement. I personally have doubts that this stuff would be as good as 'regular' ordinance at any range.

9mm drop a 500 lbs. hog? Big freaking whoop. Our butcher used a .22 to the brain to kill 1800 lbs. cows. :p
