I'd like to know more about the Kydex holster, too. I haven't seen one that I liked enough to buy it, but the one you posted really fits my style of strong-side carry.

I've only shot the Browning and Beretta, and I voted Beretta. I owned one of the Taurus clones in SS, and that thing amazed me with its accuracy - I just didn't expect a box-stock service weapon to shoot like that.

Shipwreck, what maker for that kydex holster? Thanks.

That is a Comptac Pro Undercover holster.

They are phasing it out for the Infidel - which is the same holster, but with a removable belt clip instead of it being attached to the holster permanently.

I've only shot 3 of the given poll options (Beretta 92, G19 & CZ75). I shoot best with the CZ and it also has the best feeling grip...The G19 and Beretta are great guns, too.

The queston was favourite, so I'll take the Beretta 92FS. I've never mastered it to the degree that I have the Glock 17, but it ends up coming to the range with me every time. I just plain enjoy owning it, shooting it and showing it off. It is no where near the most ergonomic, size efficient or accurate, firearm I own, but it is definitely a favourite.

The Hi Power is an interesting firearm, but I never became enamoured of it, the trigger is not that good and the safety is small and not placed well for my hands. I'm sure if you gave me a Richard Heine Special I would change my mind though. :)

The Glock 19 is the most size efficient of the choices, I used to own one, but it is just a tool as far as I am concerned, not a 'favourite'.

The CZ75 is a fine firearm, but in my experience not as reliable as the Beretta, although the triggers are better and the grip is more suited to most hands. If I owned one, potentially I would prefer it over the Beretta, but I don't, so I don't.

The Sig 226 is, in my opinion an overrated gun. I've shot a couple, along with a P220 and I never understood what the hype was. Of course, realisitically they do have a better out of the box trigger than the Beretta, so this is just a matter of personal preference.

Anyway, that's my two cents. YMMV.

I've got all of them, except mine is a Glock 17 instead of a 19. CZ 75B is what I voted for although the HiPower is a very close second. I don't like DA/SA operation and the Glock just doesn't fit me right although my initial outing with a new Gen4 Glock 22 was very favorable.

However, if the Taurus PT-92 was on your list I'd have voted for it as you get Beretta 92 goodness with the ability of SA cocked and locked operation.

Berretta's 9mm pistols are my favorites, wish I hadn't swapped my 92 for a Colt New Agent that I never fired and sold with in weeks. I had bought my Px 4 Storm SC type f and just decided that 3 9mm's and no 45's was no bueno. Now I am down to 1 9mm (the storm) and 2 45's (kimber pro carry 2 and a (gasp!) hi point that is my back up back up)

My favorite is this one:

steelid.jpg

(Beretta 92 Steel I)

But I also own a Glock 17, S&W M&P, and a Beretta 92FS. None of them are "bad", but the Steel I is easily the most attractive, the most accurate, and the most comfortable.

I'd trade one of my CZ-75bs for a Hi-Power any day. Not that the CZ-75b isn't a great gun, it's just that holding Saint Browning's last gift to the world feels right.

I voted Browning, but I like my S&W 5904 well enough that I've had no urge to replace it with anything on that list or with any other 9mm.

Hi-Power without a doubt. I currently own one and I love it. I've shot the Beretta back when I was on active duty, nice gun but does not stack up to the Browning. I'm not a Glock fan and I've yet to be blessed with the experience of shooting a Sig P226(it's on my gun wish list, near the top) or a CZ. With that said, that's my take on the list.

It's a very close race between the Glock 19 and SIG P226. If you made it a P228 instead, I wouldn't be able to choose between them

But of those listed, Glock 19 wins

I have had my BHP over 20 years and own the CZ in compact form (PCR). Shot them side by side and I prefer the CZ.

BTW, what's the going price on my BHP MkII?

Have to say the P226 cause it's going to be my first gun in the house and my only one until I can convince my wife into letting me get another handgun :)

Can't wait to pick it up from the dealer...on a business trip and will be going to get it when I return.

Well you can guess what I voted for =)

Don't get me wrong, I like the Beretta 92 (I would argue the best looking pistol of the poll) But compared to the 226, I find the control layout inferior.

CZ so far.

For the price (here in France it's the cheaper 9mm you can buy).
For the design (with small hands you can use it).
For the reliability (because I never saw any CZ with problems).

I would vote the Ruger SR9c as my favorite 9mm.
I have had a BHP and I own a P226 40S&W so I like BHP and SIG also.

But of the list I vote BHP.

Lateck,

I voted 226, but I'd take a 228 over a 226, and a 226 over a hipower. i have a 228 and hipower. both are great.
