OK, what's your favorite cartridge for the AR-15 pattern other than .223 Remington or 5.56x45 NATO? Please include a reason.

I am almost finished getting a my new 5.45 ar setup, so I'm gonna have to answer 5.45.

7.62x39 ... now that there are decent mags readily available.

Ends the old AR - AK debate ... accuracy and 30 caliber power.

243 win long range power low recoil, 6mm speaks for its self. It's a deadly sniper package! (For deer of coarse):p also 458 socom cause the 45-70 is close and it's my favorite lever caliber

They are kind of at opposite ends of the spectrum but .458 SOCOM and 7.62x25 are both attractive to me in the AR platform.

I really like My White Oak 6.8mmSPC (SPCII 1:11)

uses .270 bullets, local shops, including Cabela's, carry 6.8 brass

I like the 6x45. Uses the same bullets as my 243, uses the 223 brass, and only have to switch barrels. I like it so much I am going to sell my 20" 6.8SPCII intermediate gas length Bison barrel upper and all my realoding equipment (brass, bullets, dies, etc) that goes along with it.
