walther p99 AS.

i have shot many times at one time or another the polymers from every make on the list except caracal(of which i'm not even remotely interested,no offense) and i've not shot the cz phantom but have handled it several times.

i still prefer the walther for my purposes, with the p30 a very distant second.

i am interested in a px4 INOX though, when they come out,..but it certainly won't take the place of the p99.

Here's one you don't see very often. An FN forty-nine. This one is in 40 S&W. Some people thought the trigger pull was too long and heavy but, for an old revolver shooter like me, it's plenty smooth and works very well.

you forgot WALTHER ... and while the XD is my favorite design, Kel-Tec is my favorite design philosophy and my favorite company (of those listed)

You forgot Ruger, too but they should be disqualified for copying designs to make the LC9 & LCP anyway. (I like Ruger, but why would I pay more for a copy of a p3at or pf9 with unwanted schmafety features added on?)

I voted XD because of the ergonomics and the trigger. My HK's are superb and I wouldn't trade them for anything. But the DA trigger is not as good as someof the other DA/SA guns. SA cocked and locked it breaks at 4lbs.. Beautiful!!! Mags are outrageous. I don't own any M&P's but the ones I've shot are calling to me. Beretta PX4 one of the mpst under rated polymer guns out there. The Glock with it's simple design is in a cleass by itself. Hate the hump and the finger grips. In spite of this I shoot them well and they have so many aftermarket parts you can literallt have it your way. And an extremely simple design is a beaytiful thing. Get the bugs out of the GEN 4's and use a GEN 3 trigger and the Glock will jump back to first place.

saw one of those at a gun auction the other day. did have a heavy pull, nothing outrageous like you said.

how's the reliability? thanx :)

I shoot a pretty mixed bag in the FN and have been carrying Hydro-Shocks. It's never failed to function properly with anything I've been able to get in the mag.

How can I not like my FNP 45 USG? It's got a hammer, can be carried cocked and locked, accurate as I can shoot it and it holds 16 rds of .45 ACP......think about it :D

I have only shot an XD, Sigma, and Glock. I also handled a Taurus(forget the model) but I really prefer my Glock 19 as far as fit, feel, and simplicity.

wicked, that's got to be the most ridiculous setup I ever saw on a pistol.

Have shot everything on your list but you forgot to include Walther P99AS.
That's my favorite. Best on your list would be a FNX.
