nother dido

i.ve started a thread with about the same title before at the m&p forum , i dont think it's a coincidence either...i'll say it again, imo only, for a polymer pistol right now, you cannot beat an m&p for fit ,feel, finish, ergonomics,i currently have 4 different models, besides my c/z's they are my all time favorite pistols...but hey, your going to have your ,xd and glock fans, fine pistols as well, is'nt it nice to have so many flavors, i just like mine sweet...smith m&p kicks assssssss.

I still have my heels dug in on principle. I have no plans to buy a new S&W with a safety I don't want.

More like you dug your heels in with a lack of information. :)

The M&P series is available with and without internal trigger lock. The gunshop I went didn't have any with internal lock and didn't plan on buying any.

209001: 17 Rd, Mag Safety, Int Lock, Std Sights, 2 Mags
109001: 10 Rd, Mag Safety, Int Lock, Std Sights, 2 Mags (California Compliant)
209201: 17 Rd, Mag Safety, Std Sights, 2 Mags
109201: 10 Rd, Mag Safety, Std Sights, 2 Mags (California Compliant)
209301: 17 Rd, Std Sights, 2 Mags
109301: 10 Rd, Std Sights, 2 Mags
209401: 17 Rd, Mag Safety, Int Lock, Night Sights, 2 Mags
109401: 10 Rd, Mag Safety, Int Lock, Night Sights, 2 Mags (California Compliant)
209601: 17 Rd, Mag Safety, Night Sights, 2 Mags
109601: 10 Rd, Mag Safety, Night Sights, 2 Mags (California Compliant)

This is just list of full size 9mm. Each caliber and style (full sized, compact, pro) has a whole sequence of individual models.
Easy to find the one that meets your needs and principles, like 209301 or 209601 above (high cap mags, no magazine safety, no lock).

I tell you what S&W has not done right with the M&P..... magazine production. They need to step it up. Everyone is out of stock.

That is because they had and have a rebate offer for two free magazines. Mecgar is probably running full tilt to keep up.

I would buy one in a second if it came in 10mm and was on the california approved list.

The M&P Pistol forum has had this debate several times, and most agree they'd like to see a 10mm, but no one has heard of Smith even looking at it.

I think Smith definitely has a winner here. I loved it the very first time I shot one. I bought a fullsize then bought a compact for carry. Its the best carry gun by far, for me.
