Guess then maybe they aren't just fishing for something to charge him with?

Funny how often that works out NOT to be the case.
 
Hmmm..........Seems like there was a lot involved here, including renumbering new machine guns to make them match registry numbers for transferable stuff.

Ooops. Yeah, it would seem that Adams had many more violations.

Based on what I know of ATF, despite their reputation among our group, they actually give FFLs many opportunities to show compliance when there is a red flag. They don't just come crashing in decked out in assault gear and confiscate everything over a botched 4473 or a couple of missing entries in the A&D books.

Looks like this was a 6-year long investigation of some seriously shady practices that finally culminated in charges, warrants and seizures. I mean, the perennial losses he reported to the IRS alone suggests that this guy is not on the level.
