I'm experiencing a feeding problem and I'm curious if any others have noticed anything similar. I'm using a Glock 19 I purchased new in about '99, a used 15 round NDF mag I purchased used at a gun show a year ago and Speer Gold Dots. When I switch from the NDF mag to a 15 round DF mag I purchased new about a year ago, I don't have any feeding issues.

I experience the problem with the NDF mag on the range as well as while manually cycling ammo. The tip of the bullet ends up caught up on the base of the feed ramp. The NDF mag is fine with with regular round nose ammo and only presents a problem with the HP Gold Dot. I haven't tried other HP ammo.

Is there a known feeding issue with certain mags or is the NDF mag I have damaged in some way?

If a Glock has a feeding problem it is the magazine. I have not had to change mine yet after 5 years of shooting but it is probably getting time to. Good luck!

That is a magazine problem. Your FMJ loads are probably nose-diving as well, but the pointed tip allows them to ride up over the bottom edge or corner of the feed ramp and still feed. When you use a hollowpoint the edge of the cavity will catch on this corner. The wider the cavity the worse it will be.

I had a similar problem with mine when it was new (1999) with the 10-round mags. Only the last round (the one sitting on top of the follower) was affected. There was noticeable play between the bullet nose and the front of the magazine follower. They switched the followers to ones marked "9mm3" (visible on top of the follower) and cured the problem.

Put a new Wolf mag spring in it and it will be fine.

Glock mag springs go south pretty fast if loaded to full capacity because they are over-compressed.
And those NDF mags are getting kind of old, I betcha!

Since you can buy new hi-cap magazines for the G19 at less than $20 a piece I'd just buy a new mag and relegate that old magazine to range use only.

I agree with replacing the NDF mag with a new one, but if you want to keep it.... put a new spring in and possibly a new follower. New magazine springs fix countless problems.
