Greetings fellow shooters, I am new to this forum but not to other shooting forums.

I just wanted to let you know that the FEG p9m-9hp and have nothing but great things to say about it. Those Hungarians know how to build a good servicable weapon.

I orginally wanted a pjk-9hp because it was a browning hp clone and I read a great write up of one in Combat Handguns in the March 2001 issue. I saw what thought was a pjk-9hp 9mm but was marked p9m-9hp I thought they were the same but I found out different when I fieldstrip it when I got home and thought about selling it. Boy this was the best mistake that I had ever made. It turned out to be a diamond in the rough. Accurate and reliable well built turns in good accuracy with the issue sights. Not as nicely finished as some hi powers that I have seen but still good quality.

One of my best friends has a Browning made in portugal and we were at the range one day and we swapped pistols and he was really impressed with the FEG. Now the parts interchangability with is not the same as earlier pjk-9hp (on those you could drop in aftermarkedt bhp barrels and other parts but not with the p9m-hp) The new lock up system that the p9m-9hp use is able to withstand the increased stress of the 40 cal. Feg makes a conversion kit for the p9m-9hp you get a new slide springs barrel and magazines. I have read that because of the new lock up system the guns are able to withstand the greater stress on the larger more powerful round.

If any you have any experience with these conversion kits please let me know through this forum.

Great to be at such a wonderful forum.
