If this is everyone, then every person who voted will have to buy an average of five of the design that they voted for and we can order both designs #1 and #2. If not, I'm not sure there is enough of a majority to declare a winner.
It looks like the average amount everyone wants is 5. I was just going through and counting the people that posted which design they liked versus voted, and only 6 people had definite anwers for #1. Most people wanted #2, or said #1 or #2 but I prefer 2. Since it is such a even split, maybe you could take the orders for both #1 and #2, on the understanding that if there isnt enough for both, it will be only quanities of one type.
And here is a link for the READY-FOR-CLIENT-COPY (in case anybody is interested). I'm sure that http://MagnetAmerica.com has their own graphic artist who would do all the text layout over their own ribbon template design. This "READY-FOR-CLIENT-COPY" version would help them NOT mess up this refined layout and placement of the text, or at least it'll give them a solid start so they're not guessing what we want.
Oldfella, we'er only ordering as many as people send money for. Where this will be a problem is if we have a non-multiple of 250 orders. In this case I will ask that those who think they can move them buy extra because I can NOT afford to pay for the extra to move us up to the next price level. I haven't actually counted the responses, how many total orders do we have? Thanks!
"shadowing" ? You mean the gradient in the silver coloring behind the text? If thats what you're referring to, it'll be there. If we still use Magnet America then they will have that gradient on their ribbons because its on all their ribbons (which tells me they have a template design where all they do is change the color and the text for all their magnet ribbons).
Below is one of their ribbons. I copied their design exactly because thats who Mattz357 said we would be using. So ours should looks just like I graphiced, at least it should according to all the ribbons they advertise on their site.
Dose that help?
Thanks for you vote of confidence and the implied compliment
Hey Mattz357 what do you think about a BLUE TEXT color? Could that still be consider a 2 color job or would it be a 3 color (the gray, white??? and the blue).
GOT, I'm more partial to black, but it's up to everyone. When I spoke to Liz at Magnet America, she said that she "thought" two colors for the ribbon and one color for text would still be considered two colors. We probably won't know for sure until the final design is submitted to them, but even if it is three colors it's only an extra 10 cents a piece. Even I can afford that! I'll email Liz and see what she can find out for me.
Same here. I think it also softens the hard edges of the text. And to me, it makes the grayish color looks more silver.
On the first thread started about "what color is the 2nd amendment" some were thinking that the "blued" finish would be good. So the blue text could reference that. I originally started off with the black text working at making this as inexpensive as possible.
