I finally ran out of my stash of small pistol primers and had to buy some. Oh how the prices have changed in over a decade, I should have bought more during the Clinton years.
Anyway, I had a choice of 34.95 / M for cci or 39.95 for 1500 Fiocchi . I asked the guy if Fioochi was okay stuff and he said he had not received any complaints.
Well, doing the numbers in my head, I figured that Fiocchi sounded like a hell of a deal.
I noticed while loading a small test batch of .40 S&W that using a Lee auto prime (square tray) that the Fiocchi primers felt like they 'snapped' into place. That was a different feeling. I've been using Remington 1 1/2 or CCI for primers and those seem to be a linear push.
Anyway, did I buy decent primers? The price is decent enough that I wouldn't mind buying some more.
Thanks,
