Just placed my first order the RMR this morning for some 9mm 124 gr FMJ (2,000 rounds) and some 124 GR hollow points (1,000 rounds).

Great price, got the THR discount, and free shipping. What a deal.

I have already got confirmation that they have shipped, it doesn't get any better than that.

Now let's hope I like the product vs. the Berry's and Xtreme plated stuff that I have been using.

Thanks for recommending these guys to me, I am looking forward to trying them out.

you will
many of us have used RMR

I've switched from Berrys to them

And Jake is on here from time to time and seems helpful (and nice)

The only problem I have with RMR bullets is that I need more. ;-)

You will love them, and the service. I have gone through a few thousand already and they have made me look better at the range. :) I need to get a few thousand more soon.

I switched from Xtreme. slightly cheaper, actual jacketed, closer by. I had a phone conversation with Jake after my second order (My credit issuer thought it was a suspicious charge), and he was very helpful.

How do you get the discount?
https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...r-members-at-rocky-mountain-reloading.759774/ There is a comment box for the order, and they had requested you put your user name in -------------------- and a message from the company -We really don't want this code getting out of the THR community so please do not share it with anyone who does not contribute to THR in some way or another. If we find that the code is getting used too much by folks outside of the forum we will have to remove it or change the code. And that's just more work than my lazy butt can do very many times before I give up.

Could the code be put in a members only forum or post? Then have references to it edited out?

We don't want it abused and/or eliminated.

And since it's great to have it on top of already fantastic prices we should do what we can to be sure it's not abused!

IIRC, I believe it was Brad from Missouri Bullet Company who requested we don't openly post discount code in the forum threads and we have been distributing by PM since.

Rocky Mountain Reloading discount code requires addition of THR ID in the order comment box. I have asked Jake about openly posting the RMR discount code in the forum threads and he didn't have any issues.

We talked about this with Walkalong before and I think there were too many threads with discount codes posted and it was decided if the vendor does not want to offer the 5% THR discount, then the vendor could stop the practice or change the code. All the vendors offering THR 5% discount (MBC, RMR, Dardas, OpticsPlanet) have continued to offer the THR discount. I believe the vendors factor the THR discount into their business operation as additional sales may offset/exceed the decrease in revenue.

And if you want to support the vendor, you have the option to not use the discount code.

I have the discount code for all the vendors but often do not use them. Besides, for RMR orders, not using the discount code is like giving Jake's family a present! :D:p https://www.facebook.com/rmrbullets/posts/1037634892996431:0

Thanks
I appreciate the short version of the history as someone fairly new here..
I also appreciate you mentioning that there's an Optics Planet discount as I'm planning an order with them soon!

Customer service is 100% the best. Shipping is lightning fast and I have emailed several questions using the contact us on Jakes website and I ALWAYS either get an email or phone call follow up- sometimes both.
I have shot 3,000 so far, I have a new package of 1,000 unopened in it's plastic bag ready to load and I will be ordering 3,000 more in the next few weeks.
The only thing I can complain about is the last order of 1,000 I received a couple of weeks ago did not include any art work from Jakes kids! Serious disappointment when I opened the package.
Great company, great service and great prices.

OK, my RMR order arrived today (Monday) after ordering on Friday afternoon. That is faster than Jimmy John's Freaky Fast! :)

The look great overall, but I need to inspect them fully, then a few down the pipe to develop a load.

Does anyone have any loads or load ranges to start with for the 9mm 124 gr. RN FMJ, and 9mm 124 gr. JHP bullets? I usually load Titegroup as my go-to for 9mm, but I also have Power Pistol and HP-38/W231 on hand.

Thanks Jake for the great service, and thanks in advance for any starting load info.

Yes, Jake does run a good operation with his crew.

I usually load 124 gr FMJ/RN with 4.0 gr of Titegroup and 4.3 gr of W231/HP-38 loaded to 1.135"-1.145". I usually load 124 gr JHP higher than Hodgdon published max because I use longer than published OAL, around 1.125".

Hodgdon's load data - http://www.hodgdonreloading.com/data/pistol

124 GR. BERB HBRN-TP W231/HP-38 .356" COL 1.150" Start 3.9 (920 fps) 27,400 PSI - Max 4.4 (1,037 fps) 31,900

124 GR. BERB HBRN-TP Titegroup .356" COL 1.150" Start 3.6 gr (957 fps) 27,700 PSI - Max 4.1 gr (1,057 fps) 32,700 PSI

124 GR. BERB HBRN-TP W231/HP-38 .356" COL 1.150" Start 3.9 (920 fps) 27,400 PSI - Max 4.4 (1,037 fps) 31,900

124 GR. BERB HBRN-TP Titegroup .356" COL 1.150" Start 3.6 gr (957 fps) 27,700 PSI - Max 4.1 gr (1,057 fps) 32,700 PSI

Those are the Berry's plated bullets though, right? These are FMJ, wouldn't I be able to go a bit faster?

I have been loading the Berry's at 4.1 of TG at 1.150, but assumed I could go a bit hotter with the FMJ bullets. I load the Sierra 125 gr. FMJ's at 4.3 and a slightly shorter CAOL (I *think*, old brain, so doing this from memory).

Got in yesterday 1000 pulled .40 jhp mix bag of 180 grain and 155 grain awsome bullets awsome price with discount loading box of 50 for $6.00
