Took the Gamo 1250 to the woods today. Pyramid Air installed the crappy scope (which I will soon change) sighted it in and shot 20 shots through chrony. 7.2 gr, highest velocity was 968 fps lowest was 959 fps. Thought that was pretty consistent !

I bought the 8.4 gr diablo round nose .177 pellets. First squirrel 35 yards dropped dead. Still had acorn in his mouth laying on the ground. To bad he had a big bald spot and sore on his back. Had to leave him in woods. Second squirrel at 5 yards. Missed. Then missed again. All my fault. Not used to how gun shoots. Sure I was shooting under him due to close distance. But decided to make sure. Six shots through mt dew can at 20 yrds no problem. But that scope is one crappy scope!

So far I am happy with my purchase. I'm 49 years old and this is my first pellet rifle. Is lots of fun! Will be on vacation in 1 week. Plan on shooting it much more while scouting for deer.

Here is a picture of the squirrel.

SWEET!

May I recommend you try some heavier pellets? (JSB heavy) High powered springers tend to like heavier pellets. They will also have more retained down range energy, and will likely be more accurate too.

Great job...looks like that pellet gun blew the hair clean off him!
