Bought it last week and finally got to the range this morning. Ammo was remington 230gr FMJ at thirty feet, off hand. It took a few rounds to figure out that it shoots a tad low but not terrible. Adjustment was easily made and hitting a two inch circle was accomplished...not every time but with enough regularity to be satisfying. I wish the front sight was a little thinner. Recoil was much more manageable than I thought it would be and my hand didn't hurt when I left the range. Trigger in single action was light; when shot in double action, it was a bit heavy but smooth. This was my first experience with moon clips. Getting them loaded using my thumb wasn't too hard but getting them stripped was a small problem. I had the forethought to bring a small pair of flat bladed pliers that worked pretty well. I ordered a moon clip tool but it hasn't gotten to me yet. Overall, the M22 is a great gun and a good addition to my collection.

I have one (#255) and it's the only S&W revolver I own with the dreaded lock. I just ignore it. I wear the key around my neck along with different handcuff keys because you never know when you may need to unlock something...

The gun is OK. Your basic large frame 45 ACP wheelgun. Loading and unloading the clips can be a pain but they do make loading the gun fast.
