I've been trying to read all up on this for a few days since i don't really know anyone who's into bp pistols.

I went shoping today got some 777, cci and remington 10 caps, wonder wads, powder flask (suposed to have a 30 gr spout but i don't beleive it is) and some hornady 457 dia balls.

Caped it with the cci's first... they were really tight/didn't seat fired those.
Then tried the remingtons... The fit snug and seemed to seat correctly.

I'd read in several threads a 357 case made for a decent powder measure although i cant remember how many grains it was suposed to hold(i thought 30)??? Well i filled the spout on the flask and poured it in the 357 case it didn't come close to filling it up so i just filled the 357 case since i'd read it was safe/good load (i need to get a powder measurer).

I loaded it as per instructions in several of the threads and got started shooting. :)
Bout all i can say is WOW :what: this thing shoots good. I was shooting standing not of a bench. While i didn't shoot any super tight groups it was respectable imo. ;)

No problems with caps coming off or anything. I'm really pleased with it. It's a 7 1/2" blue mdl that a guy i work with has had for over 20yrs he said close to 30 he thought and had never fired it. He sold it to me for 275.00.

Anyway just wanted to tell some guys who are into bp and might care :neener:

Any sugestions would be apreciated as far as what kind of crosdraw holster to buy. And anything else i might need to know....... I'm a real newb but i like this thing :D

Welcome to the forum, and to the sport. You have a great gun at a great price. Enjoy.

There is no exactly "correct" load. Get the powder measure. Try different loads and see what works best for you.
