Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience with the FNP or the CZ97B? I was considering giving my USP9 a big brother in .45, but my coworkers have been pushing the FN and CZ, two weapons with which I have no experience. Can anyone here tell me anything about the FNP45 or the CZ that might help the choice? Reliability, durability, etc. are all things that I'm concerned about.

You might want to check out the latest CDNN catalog to see if they are still selling FNP-45s--they were going for something like $520, which seems to be a good price, especially for ones that are actually available.

Hey, were you 7th Cav? One of the campus security guards has a car with the license-plate "IA DRANG," the Cav shield w/ horsehead, and a Rick Rescorla memorial hat.

I've got a CZ-97B, it is my first .45, and I love it. As far as durability goes, mine is a beast. the finish is going strong, even though I bought it used two and a half years ago it still looks new.

I like it quite a bit, and those are all very strong choices in the field of DA/SA autos.

The FNPs are MASSIVE! Ive held one and it is just big. Makes the Mk23 look like a lightweight! :D The CZ is an awesome weapon. Not terribly light, but not super heavy. Accurate too!

The CZ is also a big gun. It is very unforgiving to smaller hands.

The new FN is big but it has a 1911 fell to the grip IMHO. It is worth checking out but I am waiting for night sight versions before I buy.
