I went to dinner with some friends, some of which I have not seen for over a year..

One of them, when asked, what was her fondest experience when she went to America for a visit; she said;

"When twoblink took me to the range, and I steelplated for about 2 hours!"

:D

You never know what kind of impact you have on someone... But after she said that, the other 4 people at the table want to go shooting now.

Sometimes, those who have a lot of fun at the range, become the best of preachers..

Can I get an Amen here!!??!!

very cool! Two-blink - is it possible to go shooting over there? I know that the ROC tends to be restrictive about stuff simply because they've got a lot of people on one little island, and they also have the PRC trying to pretend they own the place, but for obviously anticommunist folks, what's the climate like, as far as going shooting and such?

oh, and to borrow from my pentecostal friends: AMEN! PREACH IT BROTHER! :D

Just remember the monster you may create! We had a couple show up at the range to join, and they had bought a .22 pistol. Within a year they had 2 cases full of pistols, red dots, and were having lotsa fun spending every weekend at the range.
Now that's a good thing! Always invite someone to go shooting with you. We can use all the converts we can get. AMEN!

hehehe.. A few of them said, maybe a few more range sessions and they will want to buy a gun :D

Like the drug dealer on the corner says... the first ones always free :D

I had a friend introduce me to shooting... and I found out the only thing that gets shot is your wallet!!

Visited my B-I-L in OR (Salem); went to an indoor range and fired off 100 rounds with his .357 magnum; met a wonderful family and saw the husband's "collection" (just normal, according to him -- unbelievable according to me!!); next day they took me to a gunshow. Just "a little one" according to B-I-L, but absolutely blew me away. Bought a scope for $200US (AUD$400) which would have cost me AUD$750 here at home. But the scenery and countryside are nowhere near as wonderful as where they lived before -- Maine. Kennebunkport is my favourite place in the world. If I could, I would go and live there tomorrow!!!!!!

Yes, I love Australia -- but I hate the dipsticks who govern it!! :fire:

Bruce.. tell the Auzzies to stop importing British politicians..

The question I have for all of you is, have you taken a newbie to the range this month??

It's a better investment than that 4th 1911 you don't really need...

there are very few newbies here in rural MO but I'll work on it!

In the meantime what do you mean I don't need that 1911??:D

I'll start taking newbies to the range again when I can afford to take MYSELF to the range again. I've got 4 or 5 people that really want to be converted, I just don't have the time/money right now. End of semester, job problems, etc. :(

What is the theistic agnostic equivalent of "amen?" Whatever it is, you got it :)
