Realize that some states have had concealed carry for 20 years or more.

Realize that with Illinois' anti-carry laws tossed, all 50 states have some sort of carry.

Realize that 35 states have Shall-Issue carry.

Realize that the NY Times hates you if you have a carry permit.

Read the comments from the "sophisticated urbanites" at the bottom of this editorial, and think about what they want to do to your gun rights.

These are the people with whom you would "compromise."

"Shall Issue" basically means that, unless there's a specific reason you should not be issued a permit, then the issuing authority must issue it to you.

Still unconstitutional, but better than nothing... so far.

Wow, that article was totally terrible. So much emotion and fear and hatred for our gun rights. The comments were pretty bad too. Stopped reading them when I saw they had closed and I couldn't say something in response.

Yes Iowa is shall issue.

It seems that the NY times is doing the double standard when they advertise DVOR which is a private membership co that sells gun equipment.
