For those that have more than one revolver

Not that I have many revolvers, but if limited to only one, it would be a Ruger GP100 stainless with 6" barrel. If limited to 2, the second would be a GP100 stainless with 4.2" barrel (I'm Canadian and that is the minimum length barrel allowed)

I have S&W L Frames but they cannot take the beating my GP100 can.

I have over thirty revolvers. Too lazy to list them all.

If I could only keep one, it would be my pre lock PC 586-5 L-comp. Seven rounds of 357 goodness in a very concealeable package.

Only one, huh?

Since I recently sold all my firearms to a feller, can't remember his name, I'm going with my
Crosman .357 CO2 .177 10-shot.

It so reminds me of the old Python with combat grips.

The Crosman is a little lighter, so it is easier to carry.
Recoil is much softer.
Trigger pull is... well... a little heavy, but adequate with some smithing.
Ammunition is really quite inexpensive.

on the other hand

The finish is not quite as nice as that deep, rich bluing the Python had.
The Crosman doesn't carry quite the punch either.
The Python action was just beauty in motion.

So, yeah, it the Crosman .357 for me.
;)

I have had only four:
S&W 638
Charter On Duty .38 spl
Arminius .38 spl
EAA Windicator .38 spl/.357

Well, the S&W is gone as a gift to a good friend and the Charter was traded. That leaves me with two now, but out of all these the Windicator takes the cake.
Reasons being:
1. On par with accuracy along side my previous S&W 638. Not +P rated, but my Hornady one hitter quiters will do.
2. Nice and heavy. I favor heavy when it comes to revolvers.
3. Nice full handle and very comfortable.
4. Chambered for .38 and .357.
5. Easily replaceable if lost or stolen.
6. I like European made guns.

I lost all my guns when the boat sank:) but if I had an early 2.5 inch S&W 66 I would never get rid of it.

Perfect for concealed carry, accurate and pleasant at the range with .38 spl rounds and powerful enough to get the job done with a good .357 round.

Colt Python 4" ,Stainless in 357. (Old duty carry)
Mateba Model 6 Unica 4" in 357. (as a curiosity)
S&W Model 625 (My duty carry)
Model S&W500 Bone Collector (For being a tool at the range)

Most of my wheelguns are Colts or BP Italian clones of Colts. My Ruger Vaquero 44 mag is the exception and it's one of my favorites, I've carried it more than all the others combined. But my Colt Magnum Carry was the hardest one to come by, so I'd say it's the keeper.

Zundfolge's .32-20 is part of what convinced me to buy 'the Jade gun' when I did. His Army Special is in much better shape than my Official Police, but it's a fun old revolver to play with.

My first revolver was a 1917 Colt New Service Army, and that's been 'old reliable' forever.

Nah, I don't want to give any of them up. (Shocking that I don't own a 4 inch .357 eh?)

Double Action

Colt Python (.357 Mag, 4" stainless)
S&W 629 (44 Mag, 4" stainless)
Ruger GP100 (.357 Mag, 4" stainless)
Ruger GP100 (.357 Mag, 3" stainless)
Rugur Redhawk (.45 Colt, 4" stainless)
Ruger Super Redhawk Alaskan (.454 Casull, 2-1/2" stainless)

Single Action

Ruger Blackhawk Bisley (.45 Colt/.45 ACP, 5-1/2" stainless)
Ruger Blackhawk Bisley (.45 Colt/.45 ACP, 5-1/2" stainless)
USFA Rodeo (.45 Colt, 5-1/2" "blue")
USFA Rodeo (.45 Colt, 5-1/2" "blue")

I'm keeping the Python ... :)

For me it would be a toss-up between my 4 inch GP-100 with fixed sights and half-lug barrel or my Blackhawk Convertible .45 with 4 5/8 inch barrel. Right now I would lean toward the Blackhawk. Fortunately, I don't plan on making such a drastic choice, though I am definitely streamlining my inventory.

If I HAD to get it down to just one the decision would be easy. My 6 inch Model 19. But having shot a couple of our prohib 4 inch guns belonging to others if I were able to own such delights my choice would be a 4 inch Model 19. A superb gun with a "long enough" sight length and a balance in the hand that is just a hair nicer than a 6 inch gun.

Mind you, that decision is based on shooting primarily .38Spl with it. If it were to shoot mostly or only .357 rounds then I'd want to keep my 28 Highway Patrolman with 5 inch barrel exactly as it is now. No need to shorten that one. The gun makes shooting .357 full power loads into child's play.

Ruger SP101 3" in .357
Ruger GP100 4" in .357
Nagant 1895 :uhoh:

If I could only keep one, it would be the SP101 because it's small enough to comfortably carry, but can still handle the hot loads I want for home defense. It is one of the guns I own that I would never under any condition get rid of.

You're a Texan and we're supposed to believe you're really going to buy just one more revolver, ever, over the entire rest of your life? 'Tis to laugh, I say. I give you 6 months, a year at most before the bug hits you once again.

I will not list my revolvers, but I can asure you, I have more than several, but no where near enough.

That said If I could only keep one, It would be one of my 4" Colt Troopers.

Down to one keeper

Like several others, I would keep my SS 6" GP-100. Very accurate, versatile, strong, and practically impossible to wear out.

kj

All my current revolvers are BP.. one 12" Buffalo revolver with steel frame, but it's out of commission due to a "cleaning error". And a '51 Navy .44 by Pietta.
Since only the Pietta works, I'd keep it.

Used to have a M200 .38 spl(4in. barrel) from Armscorp, but sold it to my dad since he needed one and it shoots great. Wish I had it back.

S&W 681 4inch. Wadcutters and snake loads in 38 special through to my 200 gr. handloads. But not a summer CCW.

Ruger Police Service Six
Ruger LCR 357

I would keep the Service Six for sure.

I have a smattering of pre-lock S&W revolvers, Ruger D/A's, the mandatory Colt Python, quite a few selected pistols and rifles but the gun I would get rid of last is my Korth.
