Went to range today. Brought Ruger Single six .22 LR and .22 LR Ruger Mark III target. Was using some 1-2 year old Winchester Super X rounds.
FTF or fully eject 1 out of 10 using the Mark III. and noticeable difference in diameter when loading in Single six, 1 or 2 out of of six rounds, Some slid right in, other had to push hard to seat.
Some real flyers with same aim point.
After 200 round my fingers were almost black from grime from rounds.

Need to find a better round for plinking.

Ammo Suggestions at a reasonable price and available ? Your thoughts appreciated

cci 40 grn sure works good in my single six and my black label browning 1911 22. but mostly shoot 22 mag in single six when hiking..... all the best, dirt

Not the same guns, but both my Taurus PT-22 and my Mossberg 702 run right through the Federal AutoMatch stuff, running about 5.5-6.0 cents per round in the 325-count boxes at my local Bass Pro.

If these two remarkable-value guns can rip through this ammo, I'd bet your choices would (I haven't yet tried the AutoMatch in any of my other numerous .22 guns yet, though, which include a Single-Six and two Mk-II pistols.)

The automatch for the availability and price has shot well in my buddy's mark 2 but there is always the consistency issues with these bulk boxes of course if you want did nuts shootability eley is always a go to as well as number two towards CCI mini mags, happy plinking, oh and if you ever find Buckmark new ammo give it a try and let us know I can't find it and am curious

same thing here with winchester super x . it is just wider and can't fit into thecylinder of my single ten. fed automatch and cci has no problems. i used it instead on my 10/22.

can't remember if have issues with it woth my ruger mark 2.

How clean is the chamber in your rimfire guns? It doesn't take much baked on carbon to slow things down...... If the chamber is clean and in spec it should gobble up any brand of rimfire ammo. If your hands were that dirty imagine what the chamber looks like.
