Funny thing at the range today

I'm shooting at this outdoor 'junkyard' range at the top of a hill that requires a 4wd to get to. 1 hour into the session I hear something motoring it's way up the path, and see this Land Rover crest the hill.

Just as they see me with my folding table, chair and various firearms I hear this gurgle or squeak come from the truck...and then they BACK DOWN the 4wd track! And here I thought it was finally some company.

Priceless.

In a short time you will be morphed into a evil looking, 8 ft tall, hairy, knuckle dragging, monster.

Aint that the truth! They are pretty on the street though. I particularly like the models with the snorkels and brush guards for everything. Never know when you might get in one of them deep water filled potholes in town or clip a pedestrian and crack a headlight. I'm surprised the one you ran into didnt record your image on video and send the gps coordinates to Scotland Yard and MI6 so they could send in the SAS.

Nah, the firing range is at a campground so it was probably just a couple yuppies trying out the 4wd when they got bored of strumming the guitar. There was definitely a female in the truck though...

I even smiled and waved at them.

As much as I abhor what a Land/Range Rover here in the states symbolizes, they are extrememly tough vehicles plenty capable of off road activity.
