Thanks. I got some Minwax Special Walnut stain but after doing a trial piece I found I didn't care for it as much as I had hoped. I might try the Dark. They also have a 'Gunstock' that looks interesting- it's very close to my Winchester 61. But after seeing how nice the blond looks...It's dark walnut and a bit of a furniture scratch touch up permanent felt tip marker rubbed into the sanded areas before it quickly dries. It looks somewhat better with obvious use than it did anyway.
I'm one for rubbing things into wood. I'll probably mess with it a number of times when I get the urge and time.
I saw another guy who completely refinished 3 of these birch stocks and they came out an awesome blond color.
I don't think this is that important of a pellet gun to go to that extent.
Here's his guns. WOW
Not yet, but I did get my pellets in the mail. I will use my lead sled and see what's happening next time out.Hey, you don't happen to have a kill yet, do you?
Which brings up the question... Why does GAMO sell those pellets?
With the 7.9 gr Crosman Premier Super point Hunting Pellet
I was surprised that they spread out and were inconsistent in the Gamo. Once in about 5 would fly off from the group.
I thought they would do better. These seemed to chamber kind of loose too, like they might be slightly smaller?
I actually shot better groups with the 7.8 gr Gamo Red Fire pellets but my groups were Quarter size with an occasional flier.
These things are destructive. My wife kills em with a 5 gal bucket of water and some kind of plank they fall off of and drown trying to get some peanut butter.I showed it to my wife, and she said that she is so happy for you!
Agreed, ive got my qb stuck out the window pretty much 24/7 cause of the damn rats and pigeons eating my chicken food. When it comes to messing with my house and shed and shrubbery ... humane ( and pellets ) go out the window.
