AR15 and Gander Mousetain

Oddly enuf, I was in my local Gander Mountain yesterday and they said the same thing even tho all I was looking for was a scope mount for my AR.

The guy behind the counter admitted the policy was dumb as the .30-06 he had were more powerful than the .223 anyway but hey, policy is policy.

PS. Buy the gun NOW wherever you can get it. Better to have it a year too early than a day too late..

Must depend on where you are. We have a relatively new Gander Mountain here, and they have all kinds of pistols with shorter than 4" barrels--snubbies, Kahr's, xd subcompacts, etc. They also have a Beretta Storm at least and I'm not sure what else in "Assault Weapon" style, since they tend to be way overpriced and I figured there was no reason to even look.

Honestly, I don't see how they stay in business. My local one man one room shop almost always beats their price on firearms, often considerably. Their "sale" price on ammo tends to still be higher than the regular price at Walmart, and the local Dick's has wwb cheaper than Walmart. I pretty much go there so I can handle a specimen of a gun I'm considering, then order from my local guy.

So a Mini 14 isn't an AW, huh thats funny because I have had hours of fun with a Mini 14 a few thousand rounds, 3rnd burst, full-auto, and some semi-auto thrown in for good measure. Guess their incompetence isn't deserving of my business anymore.
Sounds more like an AC-556F.
