I have a Burris veracity and a fullfield e1 scope. After you have sighted in the scope they say you can reset the turrets back to zero.
My question is if I do that, Do I regain the MOA used when sighting in or is that always lost?

Thanks.

You're having a nomenclature problem in addition to your question. MOA is a unit of angular measure, Minute of Angle (1/21600th of a circle, ~1.1 inches projected at 100 yards.

I guess that you're asking if resetting the turrets to zero on your scope will cause your scope setting to be in the center of the adjustment range of the erector tube. No, it won't.

Adjustment range is determined by how far you can displace the erector tube before it touches stops against something, usually the outer scope tube. All that resetting the turrets will do is make your current setting read 0.0 on the turret dials.

No, you don't gain it back. But unless you're twisting dials you don't have to reset them back to zero unless you just want to.

You know that if you use most of your adjustment when sighting in that you can purchase burris signature rings and use offset inserts they sell to get back towards center of adjustments. A life saver if the mount screw holes might not be straight with the bore. They also prevent marking the scope tube as some rings can do. just a thought.

I am using Burris XTR rings :)
