While I hope these kids aren't being bullied or strongly ostracized, it's nice to know there are still many parts of the US where a gun and hunting culture still prevails. I also hope they haven't been too traumatized by local events. One of the students pushing for more gun control said of the local population, "almost no one agrees with us", this included her father.

The article talks about a few kids in a rural KY HS who tried an anti gun rally, but weren't very successful. This in a school where a fellow student shot and killed two other students.

Here's the article:

well my son grew up hunting and shooting. in high school he was a big vets right advocate, loved hunting and shooting.

he just graduated with a engineering degree from a very respected school.i am very proud of his accomplishments.

that being said the effects his liberal professors have had on him is almost unreal.to call it brainwashing would be mild.

he still wont give up his guns or his right to defend himself or his family, but I see it in the future..

so be ready for it guys when your kids go off to Democrat indoctrination at almost any college in the nation.

Same thing is happening with most of the kids/town where the Texas shooting happened.

I really don't think the media knows what to do with it...

It's nothing new though, these folks and places just don't normally get the exposure when the press goes to work on big shooting tragedies, but they've always been out there.

No, not all the student-aged folks are out to grab our guns. The "media" would like us to believe this, but it just isn't so. The media-frenzied liberal "student" protests that we've been inundated with are organized, bought and paid for by well funded leftist organizations. These protests are contrived, fake; not organic whatsoever. Somehow, and I don't fully understand why, those organizations didn't pour their nearly unlimited resources into the recent Texas shooting. Maybe because the murderer didn't use an AR15.

the only real hope I have is that when my kid gets out in the world and starts paying taxes,he already has a good job he will start soon for more money than ive ever made.

is, that when he looks at his paycheck and see how much money is going to people that don't work, his money he earned.

he will come to a realization that he is the sucker in all this.him and his wife will earn over 100k their first year out of school.

perhaps when it sinks in they are only going to get maybe 65k of that then maybe just maybe it will sink in.

and maybe the Democrat way will seem not like the road he wants to follow.?

if the dem road is not the correct one then maybe they will see all the lies they have been fed?

Shotgun and revolver with a high fatality count has them fumbling.

This is even true in California! Last week (or maybe two weeks ago, I'm a zombie lately) I met two lovely young men who work at the Home Depot I was shopping in and we got into a whole conversation about self-defense and liberty. They totally have their heads screwed on straight. Speaking with them really made my whole day. :)

My two youngest sons compete in trap shooting representing their high school. They attend at least one competition every year where there are hundreds of students with hundreds of guns and magically no one ever gets shot, even accidentally. You'll have a pretty hard time convincing them or their families that guns are somehow responsible for school shootings. Guns are part of the culture here, perhaps now more than ever.
