Pretty much what the thread say's. Im trying to decide between the 2

These are the only 2 that I'm considering. So please tell me which one of these guns would be a good choice should this type of scenario come true.

I have shot both guns and like them both but I will be choosing only one...So feel free to elaborate and discuss why one is better than the other.

Add the Glock 19

G17.

[sigh] And I don't even like Glocks. But they work, they're common as rain, and there are a zillion full-capacity mags out there.

If you were interested in other options, I might ask whether you've tried the slightly more compact G19. Many shooters prefer its feel to the full-sized G17.

Ok I am confused if you want the one that shoots to POA get the 92, Glock groups tend to be 3-5" on the norm for me. I have a 32. My 92 can be grouped into a 1-2" group from 15 yds, but for carry I like the .357 sig better.

I chose Glock because of its compactness, simplicity and reliability.
I own a Beretta 92 and I really love it. The 92 is, by far, a much smoother shot than the G17 and also very reliable the drawback is the size and weight.

Of the two choices available I chose the Beretta 92. I'm an armorer for my department and we use Berettas. However my personal choice for an all around go to gun would have to be either my 4" S&W 686 or 4" Colt Python and I'm leaning toward the S&W for various reasons. If I had to choose any semi-auto it would be my Colt Series 70 MK IV 45 ACP or my Beretta 92F.

They both would do just fine. Both are extremely reliable. Both are plenty accurate. I like the 92 better personally because it feels right to me, I like the trigger, and it has about the smoothest recoil of any 9mm out there. You can't go wrong with the G17 either though.

I have a G19 and 2 Italian 92s & would feel equally secure knowing what I had at the ready. The Glock is just so simple, durable & reliable. The Beretta just feels like an extension of my hand when I pick one up and has proven to me to be a very reliable & dependable pistol :scrutiny: This would really be a tough choice, but if push came to shove & I really have to pick one...I'd probably go w/ the more practical choice, Glock ;)

Of the choices you give I'd pick the Glock 17.
I have a Glock 19 & 26 but just bought a Beretta 92FSINOX.

Why ?

Because I already had a Glock 19 & 26 and wanted to mix it up a little. I'll probably still get a 17 in the future.

If you can't tell my my screen name I love the 19. IMHO the best 9mm made.

Beretta... more forgiving of a lack of holsters. And you will be carrying the gun much more often than shooting it.

Oh, who am I kidding? I just like the DA/SA trigger setup.
