just held one today and they want $539. I thought that was reasonableIf you are going to buy a Glock and you are not eligible for a law enforcement/military discount, then find a shop that will give you the GSSF discount. It is the Glock Sport Shooting Foundation. If you join that you get one Glock purchase a year at law enforcement pricing. Plus you are eligible to attend the Glock armorer's course. I just got my Glock 19 yesterday out the door for $519 which I thought was pretty good, and that is including the $35 membership cost.
Sorta...The G19 is the subcompact model, and the G17 is the standard model.
Here are the dimensions:
G19
L: 6.85" in
H: 5.00"in
W 1.18"
Capacity: 17/19/33
G17:
L: 7.32"
H: 5.43"
W: 1.18"
Capacity: 19/33
that was the price without taxWas that the sticker price or the out the door price?

If you are going to modify the grip, then you should give some serious thought to cutting down the grip of a 17 to the length of a 19. This way you have a g17 balance and sight radius, but the concealability of a 19. Also, if for some reason you cannot have a 19 (i.e. department regulation) then this might be the solution.
