+1. i wasn't too crazy about the tiggers on my m&p's. especially the 45 which s&w makes 1.5 bls heavier than the rest for some reason....

m&p's also don't have a very discernible trigger reset, and they're quite gritty. sometimes the grittiness smoothes out with firing, and sometimes not.

My carry gun is an M&P .40 and I have a Glock 21, different guns for different purposes. I like them both, accurate, reliable. Pick the one that fits you best, like shoes you need to try them on to see if they are comfortable.

M&P no contest! The glock is a good pistol but the M&P is FAR superior. Ergonomics alone prove that. I carried the M&P when I worked as a LEO and I had to buy my own weapon. I would go with the Smith.

It's kind funny to look back on the comments from 2006 about how the M&P has not proven itself and nobody knows if they hold up. Back then it had only been out for what? A year? If even that? I think it's cool to look back and see the trepidation with which we looked at a now very established gun when it first came out.

yeah I read quiet a ways through the posts without seeing the date, then I came up on a post that read...

Gosh, that list looks good now that I've typed it out. I think I'll add a third M&P to my stable when the .45 hits the shelves!

This caught my attention and I had to go to the end to see who the thread necrophiliac was, come to find out, it has happend twice with this thread. It stopped in april of 07 then fired back up in march of 2010, ran a few days now here it is again.

I tried hard to like the glock. It isn't about a dislike but it is more about the fact that I just don't shoot it as well as I do the m&p. The grip angle is more natural for me on the m&p and it points more naturally as well. I like the back strap options on the m&p for the glock (3rd gen) was a one size fits all and even the 4th gen is margin in grip improvement. The glock is also blocky and I never liked the sights. The m&p for me was a more natural ergonomic and comfortable gun. I have shot over 500 round thru a 17 and still never became comfortable or good with it. My advice is shoot both...no matter what we say about them you might shoot one better than the other and that makes all the difference.
