My own experience with G21's is really good. Across 10 years of hard shooting I've found my 2nd Gen to be a gem. I say that as maintenance is low and accuracy is high.
It is one big gun, all the way around. I like the big grip, specifically because the gun does not slosh around in my hand. I often wonder whether the grip size forces a better hold.
I also think the mass of the gun and the flexibility of the polymer frame contribute to a soft shooting experience. That's certainly rare enough in 45s.
