Glock 22 gen2 eject issue

I have a gen 2 Glock G22 (.40) that is experiencing an eject issue. It is not even removing the casing from the barrel. I took a look at the ejector and it looks like the bottom corner has been broken.

Question 1: How did it happen?

Question 2: Will it likely be repeated?

Question 3: What else should I replace while I am at it?

Question 4: If you were going to do a complete tune up what would you replace?

I believe you might be talking about the extractor if it has a broken or chipped hook.

Replace the extractor & spring and you should be good to go.

Why did it break?
Who knows?

All things break sooner or later.
