I have a gen 3 Glock 27 in .40 s&w.
This was my first Autoloader hand gun purchase as a young'n in 1997 or so when they first came out. It has Great sentimental value to me in that respect so I have no intentions of selling it to get a 26. I have carried it for years but not shot it a ton (2-3k rounds) from knowing the .40 is hard on the smaller frame.
I never gave much thought into converting it to 9mm but last night a friend gave me a Lone wolf g27 9mm conversion barrel he never used for free, so now my interest is piqued. Is it simple as dropping in the conversion barrel and using g26 magazines?
It seems a google search leads me down several different paths. Some say yes, just 26 mags...some say no and that you need a 26 extractor and a ejector...some say you just need the 26 recoil spring... And so on and so on..
I want to do it right. If you have one of these and you have done the conversion i'd like your input.
Merry Christmas!
