While I do agree in part. Car companies don't test to see if a car will drive straight by having people that can't drive test them. It's impossible to make a product idiot proof.

Sorry boys but I do not believe we as Joe American are Glocks biggest customer. With Government Agency and Law Enforcement contracts that purchase thousands and thousands of Glock at a time they are the people that Glock has to make happy. Eventually that will trickle down to the average Joe but don't think you are going to call Glock and complain about your 1,2,3,4 or 5 Glocks and get the company to change policy to make you happy. It is obvious that there has been recoil spring updates so Glock is doing something. Is it enough? Only time will tell but this is not Glocks first black eye. Remember the Glock KABOOM! Glock still makes guns. How about Gen 3 won't properly cycle with a Tactical Light installed? Glock still makes guns. I am sure there have been other issues to.
Of coarse this is only my opinion and void of any facts. If you got a good Gen 4 then welcome to the fanboy club. If your Gen 4 has issues then have some patience Glock will eventually get it all worked out.
I hope I have not offended anyone.

A buddy of mine brought out his brand new gen4 34 this weekend and fired some factory ammo through it. It felt to me like the grip was a lot smaller than my gen3 grip. This might be a function of the removable backstraps; I'm not sure which one he had one there.

I also fired a magazine of my minor PF match load in it, and didn't have any malfunctions. This stuff would not be as hot as self defense ammo. I could not tell a difference in recoil between the factory Gen4 and my Gen3 with a 13lb recoil spring.

Other than the grip size, it seemed to handle just like my Gen 3.
