What is you're a Glock guy and a 1911 guy?

Can we get passed the model and brand name bickering and just accept that kBs are bad ju-ju, regardless, and be glad when there are no permanent injuries done?

No? O well...
 
I am a gun guy, and as such I think any 'sploded gun is a sad sight and I feel for the owner. Guns is 'spensive. I get no joy out of the fact that its a popular gun.

I find it disturbing someone would gloat over someone else's misfortune...

Poor guy may lose a grand on the gun. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

hmmm I have a few glocks and a few 1911's like them both for different reasons. I abuse my glocks and shine my 1911's : )

Except that not all Glock kabooms were/are ammo related...just like not all 1911 kabooms are gun related. Under the right circumstances...or the wrong ones...it can happen to any design. None are immune. Not even brand-spankin' new examples.

Blanket statments and assumptions are a bit...slippery. These events have to be examined and determined on an individual basis.

Most often...you'll find that it's at least partly the gun. Headspace or lack of sufficient head support...or a little of both. Combine that with about .010 inch of bullet setback during feeding...and you could very well find yourself with bloody damage, standin' there, stunned tryin' to figure out what the hell just happened while you nervously count fingers.

The ka boom in this case looks to be ammo related and could have happened in any type gun, Glock, Sig, etc.

What's the objective of this post? To annoy folks who like 1911s apparently. But the op has chosen a bad case to do this with as the culprit wasn't the platform but bad ammo. o apparently the op did not read through the thread he links.

So what's the objective? It seems nothing useful.
